“Your Colour, I Wish”

The project demonstrates a deepened exploration of the tension between the painterly nature of its surface, soaked in staines of colour and the solidity of form as well as inlaid metal elements. Serving as a table, the piece acts as a multidimensional canvas where the self-created, recycled glass and resin material is treated almost like a painting medium. The piece plays with the themes of material perception and imitation. The realisation of the piece was kindly supported by Grosserer L. F. Foghts Fond.

The project was created for Biennale for Craft and Design 2023, which took place in Copenhagen Contemporary. The Biennale was curated by Anne Thomasen. The first two pictures here are by Tableau, who also designed the exhibition.
